IAPHC Lenticular Award Category

IAPHC, Inc., the Graphic Professionals Resource Network has recently announced a newly designated Lenticular Award Category as part of its annual showcase of printed samples that exemplify the craft, art and science employed by the global printing and graphics arts community.

The International Gallery has become a premier event for the Graphic Communications industry worldwide, with continual growth in entry numbers and increased support by industry supplier firms.

HumanEyes is going to be the 1^st sponsor of IAPHC International Gallery’s Lenticular Award Category. This new category is incredible opportunity to promote your lenticular business as well as make the graphics community at large to recognize the growing importance of lenticular imaging.

All International Gallery entries are judged on the quality and difficulty of the graphic arts processes used; i.e. ink coverage, intensity of solids, registration, dot structure, paper usage, binding, finishing, degree of difficulty, overall visual appearance and effective communication.

The Best of the Best awards will be presented in January 2008, in conjunction with IAPHC’s celebration of International Printing Week in Las Vegas.

Advertising that ROCKS!

Hello,

Lenticular 3D printing is not for Cracker Jack boxes anymore. Today’s software can create some amazing advertisements that capture user’s attention and imagination. Actually, studies that were done to test the impact of 3D.

The results were amazing:

• In a study done comparing traditional 2D advertisement to 3D advertisements – 3D advertisements attracted more attention and tempted the viewer to try the product.
• People preferred the 3D advertisement by a significant percentage over the 2D advertisement.
• 64% of people surveyed felt that the advertisement looked better in 3D over the 32% that preferred the 2D.
• In another study 75% of those surveyed where willing to spend more on a CD with a lenticular cover over 23% that where not willing to spend more.

These results are just the tip of the iceberg. Next post we will discus ideas for cool advertising.
